Ember Miller and Chase
Jennings are ready to stop running. After weeks spent in hiding as two
of the Bureau of Reformation’s most wanted criminals, they have finally
arrived at the safe house, where they hope to live a safe and quiet
existence.
And all that’s left is smoking ruins.
Devastated
by the demolition of their last hope, Ember and Chase follow the only
thing left to them—tracks leading away from the wreckage. The only sign
that there may have been survivors.
With their high profile, they
know they can’t stay out in the open for long. They take shelter in the
wilderness and amidst the ruins of abandoned cities as they follow the
tracks down the coast, eventually finding refugees from the destroyed
safe house. Among them is someone from Chase’s past—someone he never
thought he’d see again.
Banding together, they search for a place
to hide, aiming for a settlement a few of them have heard about…a
settlement that is rumored to house the nebulous organization known as
Three. The very group that has provided Ember with a tiny ray of hope
ever since she was first forced on the run.
Three is responsible
for the huge network of underground safe houses and resistance groups
across the country. And they may offer Ember her only chance at telling
the world her story.
At fighting back.

After faking their deaths to escape from prison, Ember Miller and Chase Jennings have only one goal: to lay low until the Federal Bureau of Reformation forgets they ever existed.
Near-celebrities now for the increasingly sensationalized tales of their struggles with the government, Ember and Chase are recognized and taken in by the Resistance—an underground organization working to systematically take down the government. At headquarters, all eyes are on the sniper, an anonymous assassin taking out FBR soldiers one by one. Rumors are flying about the sniper’s true identity, and Ember and Chase welcome the diversion….
Until the government posts its most-wanted list, and their number one suspect is Ember herself.
Orders are shoot to kill, and soldiers are cleared to fire on suspicion alone. Suddenly Ember can’t even step onto the street without fear of being recognized, and “laying low” is a joke. Even members of the Resistance are starting to look at her sideways.
With Chase urging her to run, Ember must decide: Go into hiding…or fight back?

I am so glad I read this book!! Ever since I read Artcle 5 last year, I was eager to know what happens next. You know, Artcle 5 was one of the best books I read last year, and I definitely was excited for the sequel. I put my expectations very high, and expected a lot! Thank god I got everything I wanted! This book was excellent! It had action, it had a little bit romance and it SURE had some unexpected twists! Like the end, let's say. I loved it!

Action:
A LOT. I mean A LOT A LOT. That's why I loved this book so much. It was full of action scenes, and full of unexpected moments.
Heroine:
Ember was a great heroine. She is not my favorite YA heroine ever, but I liked her. I liked that she didn't rely on Chase's protection, and I liked that she did what she wanted to do. She was tough, fierce and strong. The holy trinity of great heroines!
Chase was a descent hero. I liked that he protected Ember in most of the cases. The one thing I didn't like about him is that he was very fast when It came to thinking about some things. He started few fights without thinking about them.
Things I liked:
Ember's flashbacks to the past.
The action scenes!
Rebecca's case.

Things I disliked:
I can't think of a thing that I didn't like that much in Breaking Point. Maaaybe the beginning I didn't like that much, because It was rather slow, but apart from there weren't things that I disliked.
Would I recommend it?
YES OF COURSE. This is a must read for all the Article 5 fans! And I think that the dystopian book lovers would love this one. It is a great addition to the dystopian genre.

Book Review: Article 5 by Kristen Simmons
Title: Article 5
Author: Kristen Simmons
Year Published: 2012
Genre: YA Dystopian
Pages: 364
Rating: 5 out of 5
Summary: New York, Los Angeles, and Washington, DC have been abandoned. The bill of Rights has been revoked and replaced by the Moral Statutes. There are no more police--instead, there are soldiers. There are no more fines for bad behavior--instead, there are arrests, trials, and maybe worse. People who get arrested don't' usually come back.
Seventeen-year-old Ember Miller is old enough to remember that things weren't always this way. Living with her rebellious single mother, it's hard to forget that people weren't always arrested for reading the wrong books or staying out after dark. It's hard to forget that life in the United States used to be different. In the three years since the war ended, Ember has perfected the art of keeping a low profile. She knows ho two get the things she needs, like food stamps and hand-me-down clothes, and how to pass the random home inspections by the military. Her life is as close to peaceful as circumstances allow. That is, until her mother is arrested for noncompliance with Article 5 of the Moral Statutes. And what's worse, one of the arresting officers is non other than Chase Jennings... the only boy Ember has ever loved.
Review: This is the first dystopian novel for me. I always wanted to start reading Hunger Games, which is a dystopian novel but I always though something like, mah, I wouldn't like it because it's dystopian genre. But now that I read Article 5, I think this genre is going to be my favorite.
Article 5 is placed in post-war United States, where nothing is like used to be before. I liked how the author Kristen described some things in the city and how she thought of all that Moral Statutes, MM etc. Because I have never read other novel of this genre, I felt kind of sorry for those characters, or people in that city from the book, that go in jeal almost for nothing, how they are tortured by the goverment.
I liked the characters in this book, and I loved Ember, because she is such a strong female and It's not like any other character from other book I've read. Maybe at sometimes she could've been more careful and more stronger, though Chase akways ''cleans up'' after her, but okay, maybe that is just my opinion.
Because I LOVED this book, I'll start reading more dystopian novels, and I'm hoping, they all will be as good as this one.
