Book Review: Requiem by Lauren Oliver

Title: Requiem
Author: Lauren Oliver
First Published: March 5th 2013

Genre: YA, Dystopian
Pages: 400
Rating: 5 out of 5

Now an active member of the resistance, Lena has been transformed. The nascent rebellion that was under way in Pandemonium has ignited into an all-out revolution in Requiem, and Lena is at the center of the fight.
After rescuing Julian from a death sentence, Lena and her friends fled to the Wilds. But the Wilds are no longer a safe haven—pockets of rebellion have opened throughout the country, and the government cannot deny the existence of Invalids. Regulators now infiltrate the borderlands to stamp out the rebels, and as Lena navigates the increasingly dangerous terrain, her best friend, Hana, lives a safe, loveless life in Portland as the fiancĂ©e of the young mayor. Requiem is told from both Lena’s and Hana’s points of view. The two girls live side by side in a world that divides them until, at last, their stories converge.

Cover Love

Hii! It's Wednesday.  It's 4th of July! It's a big holiday in the US. I want to thank all my US visitors and wish them HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!
To make this post larger and bigger, today I'm gonna show you some Cover Love. The past week was all about cover revealing. We saw the covers or Requiem, Sever and many others including J.K.Rowling's new adult book
Here are the covers, and you can see what we think of them.

The Casual Vacancy by J.K.Rowling
Trayche: I'm not sure how I feel about this cover. It's so McDonald's a like. I expected more from Rowling. 2/5

Zemmy: I was not even excited for this book when I first heard it was going to be published and the cover is a total snore. 1/5

Through the Ever Night by Veronica Rossi

Trayche: I like this cover a lot. I like the colors, and font of the letters. I just don't like how the guy stands. It would be better to look straight, like he's watching us. 4/5

Zemmy: This cover is so much better than the first one. The leather pants got my attention :D 5/5

Fragments by Dan Wells

Trayche: I love this cover. I love the colors, how the FRAGMENTS letters stand. I like the models. I like how it kind of matches the first book. 5/5

Zemmy: Err...I am not an expert but I would say this two people were badly photoshoped together. Plus the girls is in the same pose as in the first one. Awkward. 2/5

MILA 2.0 by Debra Driza

Trayche: This is another cover that I love. Just look at that model, look how she ''falls apart''. It's gorgeous. 5/5

Zemmy: Not a fan. It just screams gimme your cash. It reminds me too much of Jenna Fox. 3/5

Requiem by Lauren Oliver

Trayche: I like this cover a lot. Even though it's not better then the covers of the first two books, it still is beautiful. 4/5

Zemmy: No,no and no. I said it already. I don't like the new design at all.well, the Delirium one is decent but the rest are meh. 2/5

Sever by Lauren DeStefano
Trayche: I feel the same for this cover, as I feel for the cover of Requiem. It's not better then the other two, but it's nice. I just don't like that it's too much green. 4/5
Zemmy: Well this could be so much better if it had a different background. Tone the green a little but maybe it's suppose to be this bright because the ending is cheerful? 4/5
