Summary: It’s 2009, and Jackson Meyer is nineteen years old.  He has the same interests as any other guy his age - for example, his girlfriend, Holly.  But Jackson has a big secret, one he hasn’t shared with anyone except a close friend.  He can jump through time, but only to the past, never to the future.  What he does in the past won’t change anything, as things will correct themselves.  He enjoys his time jumps, but then the unthinkable happens - someone attacks Jackson and Holly, and Jackson ends up stuck in 2007, unable to get back to the present.  In order to get back to the present and save Holly’s life, Jackson must find out more about his ability and why someone would want to harm him.

Review: Tempest is YA, time traveling, novel with unique promise. Jackson can jump back in time but can his jump doesn't affect his present. He can go back and change anything he wants, meet his sister, but everything stays the same in his present. But when some men try to kill him  and his girlfriend, hi sudenly jumps back and finds him self trapped in 2007, and can not go back in 2009, his present year.

Tempest has very unique plot. The story is like a roller-coaster ride, you don't want to get off it. I've never read time-traveling novels before, so I found this novel very refreshing, especially in all this dystopian society ocean of novels. I have watched few time traveling novels but this is so much different that everything.

The fact that this novel is written in male POV makes is different and refreshing. Jackson Meyer.. He is so much more that I expected he'd be. His love with Holly is almost like every other teen love, but out of that, it was interesting seeing him struggle so much with his emotions. He opened himself with everything, and every moment with his dead twin sister was... well sad. At few times his emotions were so high I just thought he'd explode.

Let's talk about the cover. Wow, mind blowing. I can tell that this novel catched me first because of the beautiful cover. I heard comments saying that is so like the cover of Hush Hush, but no, I loved this one more.

Overall I really loved this book. The whole time traveling plot cleared up, but still there are so many mysteries that ofcourse will be revealed in the other two books, because Tempest is part of a trilogy. I'm exited to see where Cross goes with the series. But the ending, oh it killed me. Really. What an ending.
I can't wait for book two.
