Interview Corner: Andye from ReadingTeen

First of all, I want to tell you how much excited I am for posting this interview. Readingteen is deffinetly my favorite book blog, and actualy, it was the first book blog that I've ever visited, and it gave me courage to make a book blog. So for making ILOVETEENBOOKS you should thank them.
The questions of this interview, are answered by mrs. Andye :) Thank you.
1.How did you get into book blogging?
It actually started because I saw a need for content information.  My daughter had just turned 13, and she was getting into YA, and I wanted to know what she was reading, to make sure it was appropriate for her age.  I couldn't find any information, so I started reading the books myself, and found myself completely sucked into reading.  I was never a reader growing up, so imagine my surprise when I wanted to pick up book after book after book.  Other moms (and teens) started asking me if such-and-such-a-book was okay for their child, and so I started keeping track and posting it on a website.  Reading Teen grew from that and my new-found love of Young Adult books!

2.Tell us a little bit about the name of your blog and how it came to be?
When I was thinking about names, I wasn't thinking of what would sound really cute.  I wanted something that would be fitting, and also easily searchable.  Reading Teen seemed to fit perfectly because Amy and I were "Reading Teen" books, Abigaile, Kit, and Austin were "Reading Teens" and the whole blog was about Reading Teen literature.  I thought it would be easy to remember, and I thought if people did a Google search, it would be a good name to describe what we're about.

3. ReadingTeen was the first book blog I've ever visited and since then I've been visiting it every day. Reading Teen was the reason I started blogging. How long have you been doing it?
That is SO awesome!!  You just put a HUGE smile on my face!!  We've actually only been blogging a little over two years, though it seems like much longer.  We started in February 2010.

4. Do you have a blogger that you ever refer to as a mentor?

I think the book blogger that has helped me the most, has to be Parajunkee.  I don't think she has any idea how much she has helped me.  When I was setting up my blog, and knew nothing about HTML or blog buttons or design, I would go to her site and read her step-by-step instructions.  I still read her Book Blogging 101 posts every week.

5.What Is your favorite book?
Harry Potter, hands down, no question.

6.If you can read only one genre to the rest of your life, what would it be?
I think my favorite books to read are high fantasy (The Seven Realms, The Seven Kingdoms), but I feel like I have to take a break from them after I read one.  So, if it had to be one genre for the rest of my life, I think I'd pick Dystopian/Post-Apocalyptic.  I love that genre!

7. What book are you most exited about being released this year?
The Crimson Crown, which is the fourth book in the Seven Realms series by Cinda Williams-Chima

8.Lastly, what advice would you give to someone that is interested in book blogging?
Think about what you want out of your book blog before you start.  If it's discussing books, don't get caught up in follower-count, who got what ARC you wanted, or any of that stuff!  Just have fun, and don't stress out.  Also, if you have people that you can blog with, DO IT!  It makes it so much easier, less time-consuming, and more enjoyable when you have friends to do it with you.

Quick-FireQuestions:
The Hunger Games or Harry Potter? Harry Potter every time!
Vampires or Werewolves? Vampires
Printed or ebook? Printed.  As much as I want to get into ebooks, I just can't make myself like them as much as a real book in my hands!
