This book was so unbelievebly amazing. Believe me when I say that.
Before starting to read it I had some expectations. Nothing too high nothing too low. People have been telling me that this is an awesome trilogy and that I should just read it. But boy, I did not expect it to be this good!
The beginning of the book, the first few chapters weren't that good. There was even time when I thought that I should maybe give up and start reading something else. Thank God I didn't listen to my mind. After the first 30 or so pages this book gets so good that you wouldn't even believe it.
Patrick Ness is such a genius author. The way he writes, the way he expresses his thoughts is beyond great. His writing style is so original and different that anything else.
I must say that this is I think the first book that made me emotional. Like, I almost teared up a bit. Why? Because of a certain death. The death of my favorite character. I'm trying not to spoil it for you, but damn it was so hard saying goodbye to him. I hate Todd for making the decision he made in that chapter.
This was the first YA book that I've read in a long time. Maybe six months or more. Thank God I made a come back like this. It is also the first book I read this year. Let's just hope that all the books I read this year are nearly as good as this one.

I just recently read this trilogy, and at first, I wasn't so sure about it. I think mainly because the writing style was so different and hard to get accustomed to, but I'm SO glad I stuck with it like you did. That certain death KILLED me. I hardly ever cry with books, but that death made me cry!!! I hated it! But the books were so good! I'm glad you kept reading this one!! I can't wait to see what you think of the next two!! Great review! :)
